Karen Morash is a writer and theatre academic, originally from Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, and now located in Kent, England. Primarily a playwright, she recently turned to poetry, winning first prize in the Sentinel Quarterly Literary Competition, and was also shortlisted for the Live Canon International Poetry Award. She graduated with a practice-as-research PhD from Goldsmiths, University of London, and teaches at Rose Bruford College of Theatre and Performance, along with her duties as dramaturg with Head for Heights Theatre Company. Karen's plays have appeared on London stages and in festivals, and her drama, fiction and non-fiction have been featured in QWF, Bare Fiction, Literary Mama, TheatreArtLife and The Conversation, amongst others.
